Hengoed Court is our nurse-led care home for older people who need clinical support. Residents are given privacy and dignity and have supported access to our full range of activities, including garden parties, visiting entertainers, outings and events.
Residents’ rooms are comfortable, homely, and equipped to a high standard to support each individual’s care needs. Many rooms have lovely views over our nature park to the sea. Residents have access to our comfortable lounges, library, wheelchair-friendly nature park, coffee shop and gardens.
Meals, cakes and snacks are prepared in our state-of-the-art kitchens by our dedicated team of chefs, using the best local, seasonal ingredients and taking residents’ individual tastes into account.
Our registered nurses treat our residents with respect and compassion, working to understand and address each person’s individual needs and wishes and to preserve independence wherever possible.
Hengoed Court is part of the NHS transitional beds scheme, providing care for people who would otherwise stay in hospital. Our team have a strong background working within the NHS and are engaged in ongoing work to drive improvements in social care, collaborating with the NHS and outside care providers to enhance care provision both at Hengoed Court and in social care nationwide.
