To properly meet the care needs of all residents, services within the Home are designed to achieve the following objectives:

To deliver a care service that embraces good care practices, and sustains residents overall quality of life.
To enable residents to be part of the community, both in the Home and the wider local community.
To encourage and support the involvement in the Home by the relatives, friends and representatives of each resident in the planning and delivery of the resident’s care.
To create an environment in which residents are comfortable, safe and can have independence and make choices for themselves.
To enable a dying person to live each day to the full and to provide care towards a peaceful death, with personal wishes met wherever possible.
To ensure that the care service is delivered with reasonable flexibility, attentively and in a non-discriminatory fashion while respecting residents right to independence, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, and the rights to make informed choices and to take risks.
To encourage and support the involvement of the relatives and their representative and friends in determining a suitable plan of care and social interaction.
To ensure that our resident’s needs and values are respected in matters of religion, culture, race or ethnic origin, sexuality and sexual orientation, political affiliation, marital status, parenthood and disabilities or impairments.
To ensure that residents have available written information on the Home’s procedure for making complaints, comments and compliments.
